Charissa’s Family and Boyfriend
Charissa Thompson was born and raised in Seattle, Washington alongside with her siblings. She knew that she wanted to work as a sports journalist since the sport was one of the most important things in her life. That became her passions, created by her father. She occasionally mentions that during the interviews and very often through her posts on Facebook and Twitter.
Although she has a deep respect towards the Church and her family is a religious one, she used to skip Church every Sunday in order to watch sports with her father.

One more thing that says everything about the origins of her profession is that Charissa Thompson used to get up every morning at 6, before school in order to shoot hoops with her dad. She wanted to be as great as Michael Jordan back in those days and if it wasn’t for that obsession she would’ve been either a teacher or a psychotherapist.
Her private emotional life is a mystery. It is not sure whether she was married because there was one interview she gave to “LiveRampUp” in which she mentioned that she had one marriage and a divorce. And if we are to trust that source, she was 25 when she got married to the unnamed person and (according to her) that was one of the best and worst decisions she has ever made. “I learned quickly that I don’t need to be married again”, she said. Charissa Thompson still loves her ex-husband and she says that they are close friends. We can speculate who could that possibly be, but we are not going to.
According to her own words, they got married because they got into a fight due to her constant running from marriage, so she got married only to prove herself (or him) wrong. In the end everything crumbled under the weight of her job and obligations she has. Her job is an obsession for her and she is a true workaholic.
After the divorce, Charissa Thompson started a relationship with Jay Williams, a former basketball player, and an ESPN basketball analyst. They met in 2011 when she was working for ESPN. They split up without revealing the reason. And although there weren’t any “official” details, Charissa mentioned that they had big problems because they were an interracial couple. It is hard to believe that someone would have to face things like that in the 21st century.

Charissa Thompson was born and raised in Seattle, Washington so she attended Inglemoor High School in Kenmore, Washington. One of her first jobs after college was a receptionist. She got that job right after graduating and she was not happy with it. Charissa Thompson knew that she simply had to work as a sports reporter, so she tried and tried. She looked for jobs at Fox Sports and she went to the interview. Unfortunately, she tried to fake the entire interview and she was not the true self. That was obvious to her and her interviewers.
