Cooper Manning net worth is estimated at somewhere around 15 million. For the general public, Cooper Manning is famous for both being the host for the show “The Manning Hour” for Fox Sports and the older brother of NFL quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning. However, his fortune does not originate solely from television. For the business world, Cooper Manning is best known as a Senior Managing Director of the private real estate company’s Investor Relations.
Early Life and Education
Cooper Manning was born on March 6, 1974, in New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S. He is the oldest son of Archie and Olivia Manning. His father is a former American football quarterback who played professionally for 13 seasons in the NFL. This is why it’s not strange that Cooper Manning played football for Isidore Newman School as a wide receiver. He was a really good football player and ended up signing with the University of Mississippi. However, at some point, Cooper started feeling some numbness in his fingers and toes. He was diagnosed with spinal stenosis, a narrowing of the spine and pinching of the nerves. That is when he decided to abandon the career in sports.
Cooper Manning Career
After finding out about those health problems, Cooper became a partner in a firm that specializes in investments in the energy sector called Scotia Howard and Weil. The company organizes an annual Energy Conference to attract representatives for top-level investors, public energy companies, private equity firms, private energy companies, and other companies from all over the world. However, before he started pursuing his career in that world of investments, Cooper worked as a salesman selling seismic results to oil and gas companies, the very industry he works today. After only three years of working as a salesman, he decided to join Scotia Howard Weil and it was like he was born to work there. Very quickly, Cooper became one of the best managers in the office where he is called “Coop”.
Cooper worked for 16 years at Howard Weil. He was very important in positioning the company as a leader in the energy sector.
In 2015, during the weeks leading to Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans, “Coop” hosted his own segment on “The Dan Patrick Show” called, “Manning on the Street”. On September 13, 2015, he joined the actual broadcast team of Fox NFL Kickoff.
A year after that, AJ Capital Partners added manning to their executive team. In their official announcement, on March 31, 2016, AJ Capital said that Cooper joins the team as Senio Managing Director – Investor Relations, focusing primarily on new business development and managing and curating investor relationships.
“Cooper is a longtime partner and friend of AJ Capital”, said Ben Weprin, founder, and CEO of AJ Capital Partners, “We’ve worked with Cooper together on the Pontchartrain Hotel and Graduate Oxford and from there, it naturally evolved into a more permanent partnership”.
“Adventurous Journeys Capital Partners” is a company based in Chicago. That is a private real estate company focused on building a portfolio of hotels and resorts, the company’s in-house brand “Graduate Hotels”, a collection of boutique design-driven hotels in university-anchored markets across the United States.
Cooper is married to Ellen Heidingsfelder. The couple married in 1999. They have three children, May Manning, Arch Manning, and Heid Manning.
An interesting detail is that “Coop” named his son Arch Manning after his grandfather Archie Manning. His mother Olivia is actively involved with the Go Red for Woman campaign which is actually an awareness program for heart disease in women.
