Howard Stern began his career as a radio personality. But along the years he managed to become so much more. He is also television personality, a producer, an author, an actor and even a photographer. Stern began working as a radio host in 1976 and continued doing so until 1982. During that time he worked for WRNW in Briarcliff Manor, New York, WCCC in Hartford, Connecticut, WWWW in Detroit, Michigan, and WWDC in Washington, D.C. But in 1982 he began working at WNBC in New York City, where he was eventually fired from in 1985. But this only lead to his 20-year long run on at WXRK in New York City with his morning show.
His popularity was so high that it earned him various awards. It helped him sign one of the most lucrative deals in 2004 with Sirius worth $500 million.
Howard also had a lot of success outside radio. Since 1992, he hosted and produced a lot of shows which include a lot of television shows, home videos and pay-per-view events. He even has two award winning books, “Private Parts” (1993) and “Miss America” (1995). The latter was turned into a biographical comedy about Howard Stern and a movie starring Howard Stern himself about his life, released in 1997.

Howard Stern was born on January 12, 1954, making him currently 64 years old. He was the second child in his family out of three. Stern’s family was Jewish and they had Polish and Austro-Hungarian roots. Initially they lived in the Jackson Heights neighborhood of Queens in New York City. But his family decided to move only a year after Howard was born and he ended up in Roosevelt, New York on Long Island, where he spend most of his childhood. There he attended Washington-Rose Elementary School and then went on to go to Roosevelt Junior-Senior High School.
Howard wanted to be a radio talk show host ever since he was young. He often listened to the radio and wanted to imitate the voices he heard there. When it was time to go to college he decided to decline the offer from Elmira College and went to Boston University to pursue a degree in Communicating. While on his second year, he began working for the campus station WTBU, where he played records. In 1974 he was admitted to the university’s School of Public Communications, after which he went for a diploma at the Radio Engineering Institute of Electronics in Fredericksburg, Virginia. In 1975, he earned his first-class radio-telephone operator license. He got his first job at WNTN in Newton, Massachusetts.

They got married in 1978 and have three children from their marriage. They actually have three daughters named Emily Beth, Ashley Jade Stern and Debra Jennifer. After that it was stated that Howard dated Angie Everhar and Robin Givens. But eventually after meeting and starting to date Beth Ostrosky, a model and a television host, he married her in 2007.
