Michelle is a sports reporter and a host on ESPN. She is most famous for her work on a couple of projects including the SportsNation on ESPN2, and she was also a host of Winner Bracket on ABC alongside with Marcellus Wiley. Of course, those aren’t the only jobs she has ever had.
Michelle Beadle Age
Michelle Denise Beadle was born on October 23, 1975. At the time of writing this article, she is 41 years of age.
Michelle Beadle Partner and Family
Michelle was born in Italy. She is a daughter of Bob Beadle and Serenella Paladino. Her father was an executive at Valero Energy. Early in her childhood, her family had to move to a small town called Roanoke in Texas. That is where she and her mother had to learn the language together and is one of the things that really brought the two of them together.
In one of her interviews, Michelle even said that she had one best friend during her childhood and that was her mother. She spent the second part of her childhood, or her teenage days in Boerne, outside San Antonio. She also said that she didn’t have many girlfriends. The most of her friends were boys and that is why she spent the most of her childhood hanging out with boys and acting like a true “tomboy”. She has a younger brother Robert and a younger sister whose name we couldn’t find anywhere.
Michelle Beadle has a boyfriend ladies and gentlemen, although there aren’t many rumors and news about the two of them, and on some sites, you can only read about her love towards dogs. Yes, she loves animals, and currently, she has 4 of them and constantly working on making more room for them. However, her boyfriend also likes animals so let’s call that their “thing”.
Michelle’s boyfriend is none other than Steve Kazee. He was born on October 30, 1975, in Ashland, Kentucky, USA. He is an actor known for his roles in Shameless (2011), Legends (2014) and Nashville (2012). As you can see Steve is an actor, but he is also a singer. As the matter of fact, one of his songs was credited on the official soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – part 2.
The love for animals is not the only passion the two of them have in common. They also like wrestling and basketball. They even go to the games together. Why wouldn’t they if they actually live together.
Michelle Maybe Looks Tough But…
In one of the interviews earlier this year, Steve Kazee was actually a guest at Michelle’s show. He was talking about their habits and the rumors of him cleaning up his Grammy Award which was later used by several “gossip” outlets as a metaphor for something Steve didn’t actually say. Steve was literally cleaning his Grammy and took off the entire gold plating so, yeah that’s it. He also said during that interview that he pulled out her sensitive side (soft side) that people don’t usually see “on air”. She actually always looks like a very strong individual, as she should because that is her job. She has to work side by side with athletes and male news anchors who are very tough guys. And when we take into consideration that she actually grew up with boys, we get it why she acts so tough.
Michelle Beadle Education and Career
Michelle went to Boerne High School and later graduated from the University of Texas at Austin for political science. She later joined a law group and worked at the capitol in Austin. After working for three years on that position she decided that she wasn’t made for that, although her entire education up until that point geared her towards law. That is why she made a break of 3 years, working some really odd jobs in the meantime. She even waited tables as she was waiting for something to come up.
That is when her father stepped in. He helped her get an intern job for the San Antonio Spurs. And she was later given a shot at being a reporter for them. That practically initiated the career she has right now.
Michelle first started her career at Fox Sports Net hosting Big Game Hunters. Later, in 2002, she transferred to TNN as a sideline reporter and covered the Professional Bull Riders’ Bud Light Cup tour. That supposed to be a fill-in job. But eventually, after a few weeks, she was asked to stay. Of course, she did some freelance work on the side for various networks.
Michelle worked for: Travel Channel, Major League Baseball Production, YES Network, NFL Films Syndicated, People.com, Fine Living Network, Animal Planet, and Discovery Channel. She also worked as a reporter on the Red Carpet for the Golden Globes, Grammy Awards, SAG Awards, and the Tony Awards. Later on, she contributed to People Magazine on television, appearing on The Today Show, The Early Show, Extra, Access Hollywood, and Entertainment Tonight.
Michelle Beadle ESPN
Michelle Beadle ESPN career had its ups and downs like any other career. She started working for them on June 1, 2009. She co-hosted SportsNation with Colin Cowherd. The interesting thing was that she got her job because of her humor and bravery and not her expertise. The thing is that there were 142 candidates and they all had to send a list of things ESPN need to improve in their production. She then wrote a sarcastic list of 10 stupid things that first came to her mind, and she got the job. She had a great time working for them, but other network offered her a position of a host.
On May 22, 2012, Michelle decided to move for the family of NBC networks primarily because of a job as a host on NBC Sports Network.
However, that lasted only two years, after which she returned to the ESPN. She once said about her time spent on NBC that it was “The lowest for me… my career was crap”.
She returned to the ESPN on March 3, 2014, appearing as a co-host on SportsNation. Michelle Beadle has been working for the ESPN since then.
