Sam Claflin was born as a third of four sons of Mark and Susan Claflin. His father Mark Claflin is a finance officer, while his mother Susan A. (Clarke) is a classroom assistant. Sam’s older brothers Dan and Benjamin are not involved in acting, but his younger brother Joseph is an actor too.

As a young boy, Sam Claflin was crazy about football (soccer). He would often go to watch and support his favorite team, Norwich City. Moreover, Sam was very talented soccer player. In 2016, Claflin reprised his role as William, Snow White’s childhood friend, in several scenes of the sequel ‘The Huntsman: Winter’s War’.
